BIOGRAPHY
Born in Beirut Lebanon, growing up in the midst of the Civil War, Nadina’s journey as an artist began when she was seven years old. She would be the first ever Arabic speaking child to participate at the UNICEF “Zecchino D’oro” festival in its 29 year history and win! Her song “Vola, Palombella!” made her an instant sensation. The song’s message of peace and goodness swept across the Arab speaking countries and launched Nadina’s music career.
Under the threat of bombs and gunfire, Nadina continued to travel around the region and internationally to perform live shows and festivals while also appearing on various TV and radio shows. It was during this time she discovered her purpose was to bring kids and families an escape from such a dark reality through her music. To help those in need, Nadina donated every dollar from her performances.
At the age of ten, following a nighttime carjacking by armed militia, Nadina’s family decided to leave Lebanon in search of a safer home and immigrated to Vancouver, Canada. Growing up in a new place, she honed her skills working with the best coaches, teachers and musicians. She didn’t steer away from her humanitarian vision and kept performing for various charitable organizations which resulted in her growth as an artist and as a person. But, this Lebanese child who immigrated to Canada quickly found herself torn between two worlds. Finding herself in this space created a desire to combine both cultures in her music. Nadina worked tirelessly to craft her sounds, and her dream came true when she released her co-produced album “In The Now”. She continues to explore new ways to create new fusions and has released a number of singles, including her most recent “Shwaya W’hata2”.
This year, Nadina has been working with some of the best global producers and management companies with the objective to pushing the envelope in her unique fusion sound. Nadina and her team will release and showcase various new music to the world to become the first fusion female Artist to break all grounds. “I have a pure need and desire for fusion. It is what makes me as an individual and I am the person I am today from the gift of having a home and a place within the two continents and cultures. My deep understanding of culture allows me to impact the world with my art on the global level which will connect from where I began my existence to the world.”
